Uninstall iOS 11: Downgrade to iOS 10

Every time I look forward to iOS updates, it always gives me a lot of surprises. For me, I like to update iOS 11 beta on my iPhone 7 at the first time. Probably I always tend to try new things. However, there are some iOS users who do not like it after trying. In fact, some people find iOS 11 beta less desirable and want to downgrade their devices to iOS 10.

Part 1: Back up iPhone before iOS 11 Downgrade

We should back up our iOS device before updating or downgrading it. This step is very important because data may be lost after downgrade our iOS device. Apple also recommends backing up data before upgrading or downgrading iOS. We can find a variety of ways to back up iPhone.

Step 1. Plug in your iOS device and run iTunes on Windows or Mac.
Step 2. Click "Summary" on the left side of the window.
Step 3. Click "Back Up Now".
Step 4. Wait for the backuping.
If necessary, you can restore your backup from iTunes.

Step 1. Download iPhone Data Recovery.
Step 2. Click "Data Backup & Restore"

Part 2: Downgrade iOS 11 to iOS 10 via iTunes (data loss)

Step 1. Download IPSW file for iOS 10.
You can find the files you want on this site (ipsw.me). Then click "Choose a product" > "Choose an iPhone"> "Choose a version" and download it to your Windows / Mac.
Step 2: Turn off Find My iPhone.
Click "Setting" > iCloud > click "Find my iPhone"

Step 3: Run iTunes and connect iPhone to Windows or Mac.
Step 4: Put iPhone into DFU mode (Default Firmware Update).
Press the Power button and the Home button at the same time for 10 seconds.
Release the Power button and continue pressing the Home button .


Get the prompt "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode".

Step 5: Click "Restore iPhone…".

Step 6: Go back to previous version of iOS.
Open your IPSW file that you have downloaded. ITunes will automatically reinstall iOS on your iPhone. Do not disconnect from iTunes until the installation is complete.

Part 3: Switch from iOS 11 to iOS 10 via iPhone Data Recovery

System recovery will not cause any data loss.
Step 1. Download iPhone Data Recovery.
Connect your iPhone to Windows or Mac. Click "System Recovery".

Step 2. Click "Start"

Step 3. Download your iOS IPSW file.
This software will automatically download iOS IPSW file and extract it to your iPhone.You do not need to visit this site(ipsw.me) to download the file.

Step 4. Switch from iOS 11 to iOS 10.
After the downgrade is complete, you can view the iPhone without losing data.
